What can I say about this book。 Nothing。 The Harry Potter series will always be one of my favorites and this exact book is what got me into reading in the first place。

Soy de las personas que de niño vio las pelis de la saga y ya luego de grande le dio la oportunidad a los libros。 Aunque sea un texto más lo infantil es muy disfrutable y entretenido。

3。5。 Couldn’t bring myself to give it 3 stars though。

Fue uno de mis primeros libros de fantasía que leí y me transportó a un mundo completamente nuevo, me enamore de los libros y la magia。

There's this problem I have with So Much Hype, whether it's books or tv shows。 If I'm not "in on it" right out of the gate, before it's A Thing, I have the worst time with it and I don't know why。 All that to say, it was a bit of a slow start for me, as I waited to make some sort of connection with these characters that so many know and love。 What I liked about Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone:The storytelling is rich - Whether or not I was connected to the characters, the depth of the stor There's this problem I have with So Much Hype, whether it's books or tv shows。 If I'm not "in on it" right out of the gate, before it's A Thing, I have the worst time with it and I don't know why。 All that to say, it was a bit of a slow start for me, as I waited to make some sort of connection with these characters that so many know and love。 What I liked about Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone:The storytelling is rich - Whether or not I was connected to the characters, the depth of the story is lovely。 It is layered and well-developed, there is no question about that。Owls! - I am a sucker for owls。 I love that they figure so prominently into the fabric of world。Really good twist - I never suspected who the villain of the story turned out to be。 I fully appreciate a pivot that catches me completely off guard。What I didn't care for:The slow start - I understand needing to lay a foundation but it was a bit sluggish, to be honest。 All of that took away time for me to start forming connections with the characters through immersion in forward motion of the plot。Certain parts felt fragmented - This pertains to the myths and magic。 Some of it just seemed to come out of nowhere and then were expected to be key pieces of the plot。 Sometimes these were leaps where I struggled to keep up。I am by no means underwhelmed by the series。 I'm fully willing to allow it to sweep me up。 I'm not there yet, which may be my own fault for buckling under everyone else just loving the heck out of it, or it may just be that it's my nature to have slow warm-ups when I'm late to the party。 Regardless, I am curious to see what lies ahead at Hogwarts for this unique cast。 。。。more

Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's StoneDisclaimer: Minimal spoilers ahead。Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone is definitely the read for fantasy lovers to indulge in。 It could also be a great start for someone who wanted to read their very first fantasy book series。 Therefore, this is my first book that I'll be reviewing on goodreads。Starting off with the pace of the story, it is excellent and balanced in many ways with tension, unexpected plot that leaves the main character and also the reader Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's StoneDisclaimer: Minimal spoilers ahead。Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone is definitely the read for fantasy lovers to indulge in。 It could also be a great start for someone who wanted to read their very first fantasy book series。 Therefore, this is my first book that I'll be reviewing on goodreads。Starting off with the pace of the story, it is excellent and balanced in many ways with tension, unexpected plot that leaves the main character and also the reader bewildered at some point of the book。 We can see clearly how the lore unfolds through character's that are definitely well-written, trials and tribulations they are going through their minds, and iconic moments of each character。What makes this book unique is how its genres worked, there has never been a plot that is better than Harry Potter where school-life and fantasy binds together to create something magical。 Through this book, the start of it all leads to Harry Potter being the success and most-known tales for fantasy book-readers。Examining its stories further, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone has its own drawbacks。 For some people, having characters this many presented at them can be overwhelming。 Different characters, different personality, no wonder fans of Harry Potter books can have different perspective between their favorite and not-so likeable characters, between iconic moments and dull scenes。 There are many opinions stating how this book is overrated and such, though I do not agree。 Books like this are unique and also shows combined genres that makes it more special (fiction; adventure, fantasy, slice-of-life highlighted by things they do outside of magic)。 I do agree some parts are slow-paced while the ending is as swift as ever in my opinion。 Not all characters deserved a good characterization paragraph, filler characters still exist but it is kept at minimal。Have you watched the movie adaptation yet? If so, you can see how the wonders worked when you compare this book to the movie。 Without watching the Harry Potter movie, readers can still understand clearly how the real story worked out when reading this book。 It's not that much different, so either read a movie or choose this book。 I'll choose the movie any day, but since I am so engrossed in fantasy book-reading, after watching the movie, I rapidly grabbed this book especially after people keep recommending me that this is a book with descriptions that is not similar like the movie。 It did so well describing the places, certain events, view points。 The author could've made the wording a little more spiced up because at some point it's starting to get too basic。I personally recommend this to book-readers especially for those who really like how the characters worked coherently with one another, prefer fantasy book-genres。 I'll give this a rating of:4。5 / 5, great read, definitely will recommend to someone。 "Harry - yer a wizard。" -Hagrid 。。。more

5/5⭐️⭐️⭐️Okay listen… I’ve always been the Percy Jackson girl。 Very loyal to Percy Jackson over Harry Potter。 Man have I been missing out though。 I love Percy Jackson but why not love ‘‘em both?? This book was so enchanting I can’t wait to read more。 Got them second hand :)

Oldie, but a goodie! Want to reread all of the HP books this year - just a great as I remember it being!

Muy buen libro para empezar a leer fantasía。 Es una de las mejores sagas en la cual la trama hace que te enganches y no quieras terminar los libros。 Te sientes identificado con muchos de los personajes y con una de las distintas casa de Hogwarts。

I didn't think I'd enjoy a kids book about kids until my boyfriend bought the collection for my 40th birthday。 He couldn't believe as a bookworm that I hadn't read them already。 I haven't really invested time in reading children's book even when I was a child。 However, I was wrong I have loved this easy to read but well written story。 Believable and robust characters, original magical characters and props。 I'm going to start on the chamber of secrets tonight。 I didn't want to enjoy the book this I didn't think I'd enjoy a kids book about kids until my boyfriend bought the collection for my 40th birthday。 He couldn't believe as a bookworm that I hadn't read them already。 I haven't really invested time in reading children's book even when I was a child。 However, I was wrong I have loved this easy to read but well written story。 Believable and robust characters, original magical characters and props。 I'm going to start on the chamber of secrets tonight。 I didn't want to enjoy the book this much in the light of the authors narrow minded comments towards the trans community, how sad that such a talented writer can lack positive regard for others :-( 。。。more

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it, click here。 I’ve always put off reading Harry Potter books, I was scared that the hype was too much and I would always be disappointed。 Oh my lord this is not disappoint and I wish I had read this a lot sooner than 25 years of age。 I absolutely loved the fact they were giving you clues and giving Harry clues on how he could get the Philosophers Stone without telling him, he could do it。 The invisibility cloak, learning chest and other things all went on to be able to do that and I loved it! I also loved how it turned out Snape wasn’t really out to kill Harry, he was out to look out for him。 This book kept me hooked all the way until the very end, I was always wondering when I would be able to read the next chapter。 And when Dumbledore made it so Gryffindor won the house cup, I cried, I cried buckets!! I can’t wait to read the second book! 。。。more
